ABOUT US

Sage Mastery House LLC (The Mastery House for short) is an independent multi-media company dedicated to the amplification of marginalized voices. It is a company that can green-light, produce, and distribute its own content without the need for a third-party company.

The Mastery House aims to be the go-to place for breaking new talent and creating the next era of artistic stars.

Jenesis Scott is a writer, director, producer, educator and founder of the independent media company The Mastery House, which aims to provide mental and emotional wellness through the arts. The Mastery House also produces projects for up and coming creatives. Her guidance has helped young writers publish books and rising filmmakers showcase in film festivals and win coveted awards.

Jenesis has also worked in education for over a decade with a specialization in special needs care. In addition to her education background she expanded to include mentorship, workshops, and events for the underprivileged to her repertoire. This resulted in her winning the Kathy Shepard award for outstanding community service in 2008.

In 2013 Jenesis stage-managed the play Rough Magic that opened in Scotland at the Edinburg Fringe Festival to rave international reviews; even being featured in the New York Times. In 2017, Jenesis produced the filmIbrahim that premiered at the American Black Film Festival(ABFF) and went on to feature in several other festivals including The Black Star Film Festival. In 2020, she was one of the winners of the John Singleton Script Competition winning $20,000 in film funding. In 2022, Jenesis co-wrote and co-directed the all-star film Amaru which premiered at the 30th Annual Pan-African Film Festival.

Jenesis Scott continues her dedication to bringing stories of the everyday person to the public consciousness. She keeps her pulse to the community to ensure the underserved always has a voice.

Brandon Hammond

Brandon Hammond is an actor/writer/director and creator with almost three decades of experience in the entertainment industry. Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brandon moved to California with his mother, Alfreda, when he was just a baby. Born with a personality not seen in many kids his age, his mom, who would go on to manage the entirety of his career, got him started in acting at the age of five (5) in national commercial spots such as, McDonald’s; Apple Jacks; Chevrolet; and Pringles, to name a few. Hammond would get an opportunity to show that he could do more as an actor when he landed his first theatrical role in the polarizing, critically acclaimed film Menace II Society as “Young Caine”. From there, he became a fixture on the big and small screen with television and film credits that include The Fan; Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman; Waiting to Exhale; Tales from the Hood; Space Jam; Mars Attacks!; and the Showtime made-for-tv film Our America.

Brandon’s acting talent were put on notice by tv and film critics alike when he starred in the CBS half-hour sitcom The Gregory Hines Show (TGHS) along with Hines and Wendell Pierce as the title character’s son “Matty Stevenson” and in Twentieth Century Fox’s release of the feature film Soul Food. For the latter, Hammond won the NAACP Image Award for Most Outstanding Youth Performer for his portrayal as the film’s narrator “Ahmad Sims” and for TGHS, TV Guide named him The Best Child Performer of 1997. Brandon has also been nominated for three (3) Young Artist Awards and two (2) YoungStar Awards in his career.

Today, he creates content, He also hosts his hosts a web-series "Along the Way". Brandon Hammond also plans to launch his “Yes I Can” program, which is designed to bring awareness to the entertainment industry of physically challenged actors through film and theater.
